O Donor Club
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for donating blood with Upstate
New York Transplant Services. As someone with type O blood I know how
important our donations are to Western New York. Upstate New York Transplant
Services has recently created an exciting program that will allow our special group
of donors to continue demonstrating our commitment to the community to a greater
degree, and I am inviting you to be a part of this with me.
The Upstate New York Transplant Services’ O Donor Club is a text messaging
program that will let us know when the need for blood is critical in our community.
In order to meet the demand of our local hospitals there may be a time when Upstate
New York Transplant Services will call on us as O donors to visit a blood drive
during a specific time frame to donate.
As a member of the O Donor Club we will only receive a text message from Upstate
New York Transplant Services when there is an urgent need for our blood type. There
may be a nominal fee associated with each text message based on your cell phone
provider, and Upstate New York Transplant Services will need to obtain advanced
permission from you prior to sending out any messages.
Joining the O Donor Club is quick and easy, and is another way for our special group
of O donors to help give the Gift of Life to those in need in our community. Simply
fill out the enclosed form and mail back to Upstate New York Transplant Services or
visit unyts.org.
