First Responders to the Rescue!
Niagara Falls Police, Firefighters and EMS host community blood drive
Summer is here! Historically, blood donations usually drop this time of year, and the early heat wave, along with summer vacations, mean fewer people are donating and there’s less supply at our local hospitals. That’s why it’s important to donate now!
WHO: Niagara Falls Police officers, Firefighters, Volunteer Firefighters and Emergency Personnel
WHEN: Thursday July, 26th @ NOON-7PM
WHERE: John A Duke Senior Center
1201 Hyde Park Blvd.
Niagara Falls, NY
Free lunch for all donors, along with the chance to win prize baskets, donated by the First Responders
All blood collected by Unyts stays local. Unyts supplies blood and blood products to all the hospitals in Niagara County.
“We know firsthand the importance of adequate blood. If we can get together again in the spirit of competition to help a worthy cause, it seems like a natural for all of us.” Clifford Mayes, Niagara Falls Fire Battalion Chief.
“Most of us come on the job to help others, and what better way than to give something as important as a blood.” Captain John DeMarco, Niagara Falls Police Department.
“The Unyts blood drive presents a wonderful opportunity for Niagara Falls residents to thoughtfully join our First Responders in preserving life by making a blood donation.” Paul Dyster, Niagara Falls Mayor.
